What Is The Upright Protector ?
Upright Protector (also called Column Guard) is a safety device installed on the vertical posts of pallet racks to shield the posts from damage by forklifts and other moving equipment. Usually made of steel or high-impact plastic, it absorbs and distributes collision forces to prevent structural damage—avoiding costly repairs and dangerous accidents. Typically painted in bright, visible colors like safety yellow to warn drivers, it is easy to replace if damaged; available in U-shape, L-shape, or V-shape, its dimensions are designed to match racking specifications or customer requirements.

Adopts a traditional bolt-to-the-floor design for stable installation.
Standard column protectors are designed for 3-1/2″ wide footplates and do not fit uprights with enlarged footplates.
Comes with a standard safety yellow powder coat paint finish.
We stock special column guards designed for uprights with enlarged seismic foot plates.
We offer special notched post protectors for pallet racks with beam levels inches off the floor.
Please inform us if your pallet rack has beam levels inches off the floor or uprights with enlarged footplates—these may affect post protector compatibility.
