Shuttle racking represents an upgraded/supplementary shelving system to traditional high-density storage solutions (such as drive-in racks, push-back racks, gravity flow racks, and mobile shelving). It integrates features from multiple shelving types, offering not only the high density characteristic of conventional compact storage but also enabling automation control requirements. Compatible with shuttle carts, mother-child carts, four-way carts, forklifts, or stackers, it offers higher storage density than push-back and gravity racks. It flexibly supports either first-in-first-out (FIFO) or first-in-last-out (FILO) functionality based on actual operational needs. Capable of semi-automated or fully automated storage modes, it serves as an efficient alternative for short-term storage and drive-in racking.

Working Principle
Stocking: The goods will be placed at the front end of the rack aisle rail by a forklift, and the mobile shuttle will be operated by a radio remote control to move the pallet carrying the goods on the rail.
Picking: The shuttle moves the pallet from the deep shelf to the front end of the shelf, and then the forklift takes the pallet goods off the shelf.
Mobile shuttle: The shuttle can place the shuttle trolley in different aisles by a forklift, and multiple aisles can share one shuttle. The number of shuttles is determined by comprehensive conditions such as the total amount of goods, shipment batch, aisle depth, and shipment frequency; and such a warehouse solution is composed of a certain number of trolley pallet racks and a system that uses trolleys to store, transport and store pallets. Its space utilization rate can be as high as 80% or more!
