WHAT IS A PALLET RACK?
Pallet racking is a warehouse storage system designed to hold palletized items on horizontal shelves on multiple levels. Pallet racks are notably more efficient than other forms of warehouse storage because they utilize more vertical space, and forklifts load and unload the materials to save time.
SELECTIVE PALLET RACKING
Selective pallet racks are the most popular and versatile kind of racking. These systems are called “selective” because they allow users to select any pallet load from the pallet racking system without having to move any other pallets.
1. It uses wire decks to place pallets on;
2. It allows for direct access to all stored pallets and loads, easy stock control, and load flexibility
3. It follows a First in First Out (FIFO) racking system, meaning the stock added first will be removed first.
